Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the second element of what we call the “trinity” – the 3 part existence of a singular God. How does a perfect, holy God have a relationship with a flawed and sinful creature such as man? He creates an extension of himself with the same make up so he can sympathize with us. So he knows what it’s like to be us with all of our pain, our problems, and our temptations. Yet, as he is perfect, so Jesus is perfect, and faces everything that we face without sin. This way, not only can God understand us and have a relationship but we also have an example of how to live the perfect Christian life. We have something to strive for. Jesus acts as our advocate when we stand in front of the Father. He is the living sacrifice sent to atone for our sins as only an unflawed, unblemished being could do. God knew that no sole human could ever have character perfect enough to be worthy as a sacrifice so he sent an extension of himself that is 100% God yet 100% man to do it for us.
