Who is GOD?

God is the sovereign creator of the universe and everything beyond it. The maker and keeper of time, the artist that perfectly sculpted the heavens and the earth, and yet he still decided that he didn’t want any of it without a relationship with you and I. God is the creator and keeper of time and therefore is not defined by its limits. If we are moving along a timeline drawn on a sheet of paper, God is the paper. God is not a person in a body like you and I but a spirit. Neither male nor female, though we use the pronouns “he/him/his” to personify him for our understanding, God is not a fleshly being. He is perfectly holy, completely without sin, without blemish, and without blame. His ways are greater than our ways. His thoughts are greater than our thoughts. Yet, for those of us who have accepted him and his sovereign existence, he imparts in us his spirit to guide us and help us grow closer to him.

Isaiah 55:8-9 - "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
