Psalm 37: 3-4 - Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Safe pasture: a place where all of my needs are met; an environment where I do not have to be on guard, I simply exist. When I’m hungry or thirsty, like a cow grazing in a field, all I have to do is bend down and receive what is readily available to me. I do not peer to my left or right in fear of what may be out to attack, nor do I look around to see who might have more than I do. Like a sheep in a flock, I simply am, having all of my needs met, my body protected, blissfully unaware of the danger that lurks because my all-powerful shepherd has my life in his capable hands. This is safe pasture – where I am protected and all of my needs are met according to HIS riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
My prayer for you is that you look around and see your safe pasture. I pray that you feel the love of God coating you like armor in everything that you do. Like an invisible forcefield, the Lord is guarding you from all that desires to harm you; however, because we can’t see it, sometimes we tend to focus on everything outside that looks so intimidating. The loving Father has your best interest at heart. He knows everything that you need and already has a master plan to bring you peace, joy, and fullness of life. He desires for you to be successful. He has ordained for you to be comfortable and well kept. This doesn’t mean that you won’t face strife in life but you have unlimited access to his perfect peace. This is peace that surpasses understanding – peace that exists despite the circumstances that you are facing. My prayer for you is that you turn your eyes to your loving father because once you turn your face towards how big he is, everything else seems so much smaller. I pray that you see his face shining upon you as you enter your safe pasture.
